Trisha Calabrese, MPH
Senior Vice President of Programs
Trisha Calabrese (she/her) serves as the Senior Vice President of Program Operations. In this role she leads AFSP’s program departments and activities—including Prevention Education, Loss and Healing, and Interactive Screening Program & Workplace programs. Prior to joining AFSP in 2022, she worked at the American Academy of Pediatrics for nearly 18 years where she managed and directed large scale programs to increase access to healthcare. Most recently, she co-led the national AAP COVID-19 response as well as oversaw a diverse portfolio of maternal, pediatric, and adolescent health initiatives and programs, including mental health and suicide prevention. Through partnerships with international, national, federal, and local organizations, she led teams to develop, implement, and evaluate programs using innovative solutions. She also led the launch and rapid scale of the AAP Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) tele-mentoring program that creates communities of learners in an “all learn, all teach” approach, which is an internationally recognized program. She earned her master’s degree in public health from Northern Illinois University.
